The workshop will take place at the Institute of Discrete Mathematics and Geometry, Technische Universität Wien in Vienna, Austria. The address is Wiedner Hauptstraße 8-10, 1040 Wien. The location is quite central, close to the Karlsplatz metro station (U1, U2, U4) and well connected by several tramway and bus lines.
Vienna’s main train station is well-connected to other major cities in Europe, including night train services. Should you prefer to fly, the airport Wien-Schwechat (VIE) also offers direct flights to many major European cities.
The city is efficiently linked by an extensive public transport network. Tickets can be purchased via app or at ticket machines located in metro stations and on most tramways.
For planning your journeys and purchasing digital tickets, we recommend the following mobile apps:
Please note that you are responsible for validating tickets before entering metro platforms or inside tramways/buses when starting your journey, even if there are no physical barriers.
We don’t have any specific hotel suggestions. The TU Wien has an agreement with several nearby hotels that provide special prices for TU Wien visitors. Please contact Ekaterina Fokina if you would like to make use of this offer. We however cannot guarantee that the prices are lower than you could find online.
In general, any option close to a metro station, especially along the lines U1, U2 and U4, should have a quick connection to the venue (you can check travel time by public transport on popular mapping options).
