European Prize in Combinatorics

The European Prize of Combinatorics 2017 was awarded to Christian Reiher (Univ. Hamburg) for his profound result in extremal and probabilistic combinatorics, particularly for his solution of the Kemnitz conjecture on lattice points and the Lovasz-Simonovits clique density problem and to Maryna Viazovska (EPFL) for her deep contributions to spherical designs and particularly for the solution of the sphere packing problem in dimensions 8 and 24.

The prize ceremony took place at the TU Wien at the Opening of the Eurocomb 2017 conference on August 28, 2017. Both prize winners gave a prize lecture on August 30 as part of the Eurocomb conference. The award of 2500 EURO for 2017 is founded with contributions of DIMATIA, local organizers and Elsevier.

Eurocomb Programme is online

The Programme of Eurocomb 2017 is now online. We have 9 plenary speakers, 2 prize lectures and 140 contributed talks.
Besides that there is a Reception in the Town Hall of Vienna, a Concert, City Excursions and a Conference Dinner at a Heurigen.

Call for submissions

The submission of extended abstracts for Eurocomb 2017 is now open.
Submission should have: A title, a list of authors with affiliations, a brief summary,
and a main body (in total up to 5 pages in A4) describing recent original theoretical results or applications of Combinatorics and Graph Theory.

They should be submitted as a pdf file using the interface provided on EasyChair (https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=eurocomb2017) by March 15th, 2017.
There is no prescribed template.

There will be a volume of Electronic Notes in Discrete Mathematics, ENDM, which will publish all accepted abstracts of the conference.
